Join us for our first workshop of the 2023 “All Hands On” Program series! Take a deep dive into understanding how land works as a whole living system, and discover powerful tools and planning approaches for assessing and designing a piece of land, including climate, water, geology, soils, ecological communities, and much more. Experience a land-based design process, conduct site assessment in the field, and learn to organize data, research, and insights from site assessment to guide your land stewardship. This workshop features guest facilitator Connor Stedman from Terra Genesis International, alongside the WBLT team.

Get Hands-on!

This course will take place both in the classroom and out on the land at Jalama Canyon Ranch to understand what to look for when planning for land stewardship. Learn how to interpret many different dimensions of an ecosystem to ensure that considerations are made for the land as a whole and discover how to see and understand the impacts of decisions you make on the land. You will leave this course understanding how to interpret plan view maps of a property, sources of information on land properties, and digital tools and resources to support your land planning process.

The goal of our “All-Hands-On” Program is to support land managers, landowners, and landscape designers to implement regenerative principles and practices while helping to achieve regional climate goals.
