Wild for the Wild: Discovering Regional Biodiversity
A Special Field Day event

Join us for a special Field Day event at Jalama Canyon Ranch, hosted by White Buffalo Land Trust as part of the statewide CA Biodiversity Day initiative led by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW). This event offers a unique opportunity to engage with our citizen science project, celebrate California's rich biodiversity, and experience our stewardship efforts firsthand.

Come explore The Center for Regenerative Agriculture through a guided tour of our diverse landscapes, including pastures, vineyards, and native oak woodlands. Discover innovative practices we're using to enhance biodiversity, build soil health, support a more resilient water cycle, and promote climate stability across our 1,000 acres.

The day will include:

  • Interactive Walking Tour: Learn about regenerative principles and their application in our agricultural systems.

  • Community Science Participation: Contribute to our data collection efforts and see how you can make a difference in local biodiversity.

  • Tasting and Shopping: Enjoy delicious products from the ranch and our food brand Figure Ate, available for purchase. All proceeds support our ongoing work.

We invite you to help us collect and share your wildlife findings from this event on iNaturalist. If you’d like to contribute to this citizen science effort please follow these steps:
